The Opportunity

Our client is currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional Events Officer to join their Media team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.

The Media team sits within the Co-Design & Engagement Branch and will support them in coordinating and delivering their events.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the event lead in event coordination of face-to-face, virtual and hybrid events including accessibility requirements from planning to delivery and post event evaluation.
• Providing logistical management and advice for the Agency, delivering proactive and nationally consistent engagement activities, including the provision of logistical support at external forums and events.
• Preparing event and engagement meeting briefs for high level stakeholders, supporting Minister and senior leadership attendance at events.
• Supporting multiple events simultaneously, sometimes with tight deadlines.
• Working with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Tracking and report on internal and external events activity.
• Tracking budget and managing financial records.
• Managing, allocating and providing responses for shared inbox enquiries.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience in coordinating events, particularly accessible events
• Adaptability in a changing environment
• Enjoys working on multiple pieces of work at one time
• Relishes autonomy to design and implement new processes
• A willingness to lift others around you to get the job done
• Has a natural ability to ‘connect’ to team members working virtually in other locations
• An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable
