About the Position:

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This demanding, semi-autonomous role offers the opportunity to work across the entire production and warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the Plant Services and Production Manager, you will oversee all aspects of electrical maintenance, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of six pillow and quilt production lines, as well as a palletising robot. This position is for the afternoon shift of 15:00 – 23:20.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain Standardised Work Method Statements to ensure consistent operations.
  • Scope, identify, and implement solutions for change management requests.
  • Scope, install, test, and commission electrical projects as needed.
  • Ensure all warehouse assets are fully maintained to optimise performance.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with WHSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Proactively analyse breakdowns and propose effective solutions to reduce downtime.
  • Identify recurring faults and bottlenecks, proposing programming improvements to enhance outputs and reduce breakdowns.
About You:
  • Grade A Electrical Trade qualification.
  • Experience in basic PLC troubleshooting with Omron, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Experience with Robotic Automation and Sick Safety systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and respond quickly to emergency breakdowns, minimising downtime.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
