Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the statutory planning team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Promote a customer-focused approach, ensuring positive engagement with stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and manage complex planning permit applications.
- Represent the organisation at VCAT and other relevant forums.
An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced statutory planner to oversee a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional planning services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing development approvals, facilitating pre-application meetings, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the team.
- Hold a degree in Town Planning or a related field, with experience in land use planning.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of planning legislation and regulatory processes.
- Exhibit confidence in making independent decisions and providing expert guidance.
- Have a proactive approach to leadership and mentoring.
- A police check will be required for the successful candidate.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
- This is a permanent, full-time position based in Bairnsdale.
