Job description

Our state government client is seeking a Senior Electrical Inspector for an initial 3-month contract with possible 6-month extension in their Jandakot, WA office. 

Title: Senior Electrical Inspector

Start: ASAP (Feb 2025 likely start)

Rate: Candidates will be submitted at the rate of their choosing based on relevant experience
Overtime and allowances: Travel and meal allowances offered

Duration: Initial 3-month contract with strong possibility of 6-month extension
Hours: 38 hours per week with occasional overtime
Location: Jandakot WA, with occasional travel to non-metropolitan areas
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

ROLE DESCRIPTION
  • Undertake and coordinate compliance inspection of electrical and ITS infrastructure delivered to the client.
  • Develop and implement audit and inspection schedules to ensure assets are accepted in accordance with client standards that minimise the risk of acceptance of sub-standard assets.
  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures for electrical and ITS audit reports and inspection reports.
  • Written communication, technical report writing with recommendations.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL:
  • Construction and maintenance of electrical control systems and intelligent transport systems.
  • Developing and implementing electrical compliance inspection schedules, audits and reporting.
  • Provide specialised technical advice to Project/Contract Managers and the regions to ensure delivery of electrical and ITS requirements
DESIRABLE:
  • WA Electrical Requirements (WAER), AS/NZ3000, AS/NZ3017, AS/NZ3019
  • AS/NZ ISO 31000 Risk Management – in electrical context
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current WA Driver’s License (C Class)
  • Current National Police Clearance or able to obtain if successful
  • White Card
