Our state government client is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to provide technical advice to the Digital Wallet project team.
Rate: Candidates will be submitted at their preferred rate
Location: West Perth, WA
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Duration: 12 months
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Planning and development of technical documentation for the Digital Wallet project including input into procurement development and terms and conditions documentation.
- The planning and development of strategic business goals, including holistic digital transformation of digital identity services and systems across whole-of-government, solution technical architectures, enterprise architectures, and migration plans/strategies.
- Research and analysis into best practices, ISO Standards, industry trends, other State Government trends and providing strategic advice based on findings and communicating regular reports to stakeholders.
- Assessment and selection of solutions to meet business requirements.
- Providing leadership and team management at a holistic level, including conflict resolution across teams, and driving decision making processes.
- Design and development of strategies to manage and control risks.
- Assistance in relation to procurement development, transition, integration, and delivery of the digital wallet project.
- Assessment of security threats, risk, and vulnerabilities and liaison with the Cybersecurity teams and expertise across multiple government agencies.
- Development of scope and requirements documentation.
- Input into development of Request for Tender documentation.
- Input into development of Test Criteria.
- Architectural governance and design.
- Analysis and review of high-level and detailed design for ICT solutions.
- Architectural diagramming and modelling.
- Experience in delivering a whole-of-government program of work, including commissioning or decommissioning of government infrastructure, with complex budgetary, timeframe and multi-jurisdictional challenges.
- Familiarity with architectural and technical delivery elements of digital identity related services such as ISO 18013-5 and ISO 18013-7.
- Experience managing the delivery of innovative, evidence-based strategy and/or online service solutions which are robust, affordable and provide value for money.
- Experience undertaking complex research and evaluation tasks related to digital strategy and/or online service development.
- Experience working with or on transformation programs.
- Extensive experience in producing high quality architectural models, diagrams, and documentation to record and communicate concepts.
- Experience in reporting program progress to key stakeholders.
- Experience architecting or managing complex infrastructure and cloud solutions. Experience and/or certification in enterprise or solutions architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure, TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman, Open CA).
- Good communication skills and the ability to translate complex technology solutions to business audiences.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver quality and timely outcomes.
The specific deliverables for the Digital Wallet project are still being developed, however, the Contractor will be expected to deliver:
- Oversight related services for the Digital Wallet project.
- Production of regular and special reports on the status of the project in a multi-jurisdictional working environment across multiple government agencies.
- Manage and coordinate meetings between key stakeholders of the project.
- Close liaison with the project management team responsible for the project.
- Analysis of solution architectures and other project artifacts for the project, and peer review of such documents.
- Risk analysis and monitoring for the project, including conducting risk workshops where appropriate.
- Review of appropriate standards documentation.
- Oversight of project progression through completion and into production.
- Liaison with Product Management, Operations, Project Management, Development and other teams that cross-coordinate work on the project.
- Ensure the successful deployment of the project on time and identify any technical or business impediments that may interfere with this outcome.
- Technical contribution to Business Case documents.
- Contribute to technical solutions for individual projects and holistically for the Digital Identity environment.
- Product architecture documentation.
- Transition Framework documentation.
- Solution roadmaps.
- Development of Test Criteria and Deployment Modelling.
- Proof of concept project documentation.
- Reviewing and validating solution designs.
- Developing and updating contractor collaboration frameworks.
- Full working rights within Australia
- Current National Police Clearance (or able to obtain if successful)
