Senior Accountant - Qualified

About Our Client:
Our client is a reputable financial services provider, offering expertise in both Accounting and Financial Planning across three offices in Gippsland. They are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Accountant to join their team at the Moe office.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tax compliance tasks, including preparing BAS, financial statements, income tax returns, and liaising directly with clients. You will manage a diverse client base, including individuals and small to medium-sized businesses from a variety of industries.

About You:


To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • A degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or currently in progress).
  • At least 2 years of experience in public practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian taxation.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, particularly Xero.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a positive work ethic.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored accounting services.
  • Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and BAS.
  • Advise clients on tax-related matters and ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure the timely completion of client tasks.
