About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading complex procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring contracts are commercially sound and legally enforceable. You’ll also provide leadership and mentorship to the broader team, sharing your technical expertise and supporting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and mentoring to procurement team members.
- Stay informed of market conditions and supplier capabilities.
- Advise business units on procurement and contract management activities.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, lead evaluations, and negotiate with suppliers.
- Manage supplier performance meetings and develop contract management plans.
- Oversee contract variations and contractor claims, facilitating stakeholder negotiations.
- Diploma or degree in Procurement, Business, Commerce, or Finance.
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement and contract management.
- Strong commercial experience
- Proven ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience in tender processes, contract evaluations, and sourcing strategies.
- Leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring team members.
