The Role
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will:
- Manage complex and high-risk procurement and contract development processes.
- Develop and implement procurement governance frameworks, policies, and strategies ensuring statutory compliance.
- Lead and mentor procurement staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
- Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on procurement and contract governance.
- Prepare, review, and finalize complex contractual documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and governance practices.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven expertise in high-level procurement environments, with experience in managing complex and high-risk contracts.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing procurement teams.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to develop innovative solutions.
- A proactive and consultative approach to stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of public sector statutory requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Progress towards a relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, governance, or law.
