Mental Health Clinician

Looking for a change of scene.  Our client, is currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join the team at Emerald on a contract basis until June 2026, with the potential for extension. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people within a dynamic and supportive environment.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments for young people.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Deliver evidence-based early/brief intervention therapy, including group interventions.
• Collaborate with clients and their families to create person-centred treatment plans.
• Facilitate review meetings to track progress and adjust care plans.
• Work closely with the community engagement team to represent headspace at events and promote services.

The Successful Candidate will:

• Promote and adhere to youth-friendly practice principles.
• Conduct clinical assessments focusing on young people’s needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Provide evidence-based early/brief intervention therapy and support to young people and their families.
• Develop individual treatment plans that are directed by the young person and are person-centred.
• Recognise the importance of family and friends in a young person’s life and incorporate this into practice.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Approved tertiary level qualification in an allied health discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy).
• Registration or membership with AHPRA or AASW 
• Full COVID vaccination.
• Blue Card.
• Yellow Card.
• Current Open Driver's Licence

Salary and Benefits:

• $106,728 per annum + super + salary sacrifice.
• Relocation assistance negotiable for the successful applicant.
