The Opportunity:
This is a permanent part-time position, initially 3-4 days a week, with the potential to transition to full-time in the future. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, administration, and customer service. We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach. The successful candidate will also contribute to ongoing improvements and efficiency within the team and confidently make suggestions.

About You:

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting functions
  • Experience in accounts payable and receivable
  • Proficient in payroll processing
  • Skilled in preparing company BAS statements
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a positive work ethic
  • Experience with Reckon is advantageous
  • Ability to exercise judgment and initiative when completing tasks
  • Confident in face-to-face and phone communication with clients
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Process weekly payroll for a small team
  • Prepare BAS statements
  • Assist in general financial management and liaise with the business accountant
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
  • Maintain accurate data entry in client management software
  • Perform ad-hoc administration duties as required
  • Greet clients at reception and assist with inquiries
