Job description

TEST ANALYST.

DFP Recruitment is partnering with a global organisation who are at the inception stages in Melbourne of a number of large pieces of work. Due to this, they are looking to grow their teams. In this instance they are looking to bring on board, a Test Analyst.
This is a permanent and hybrid position based in the Melbourne, CBD and offering up to a base of $95,000 + Superannuation.
The Test Analyst will collaborate closely with the Test Lead to identify software and hardware defects, assess system capabilities against defined requirements, and collaborate with relevant departments to address any issues.
Due to the clients industry, they can only accept candidates that are Australian Citizens.

Role Responsibilities:
· Analyse system designs and contractual requirements to determine suitable test criteria.
· Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios to validate system and device functionalities.
· Assist the test team during testing activities, providing necessary support and participate in test team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.
· Document and report discovered bugs and defects to relevant departments, collaborating on resolutions.
· Maintain meticulous records of the system testing process, ensuring proper documentation to validate testing procedures.
· Provide regular updates to managers on project progress, issues, and any encountered challenges.
· Potentially facilitate customer or user witnessed testing processes with professionalism and proficiency.
· Prepare and deliver both interim and final test reports for project managers.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, our client is looking for the successful person to have ideally previous experience working with:
· Proficiency in creating and executing test cases and plans.
· Familiarity with test case and defect management tools like Azure DevOps.
· Demonstrated effectiveness in minimizing defects in software releases.
· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Interpersonal skills, willingness to share knowledge, and collaborate with others and other departments.
· Detail-oriented and diligent with a focus on accuracy.
· Problem-solving skills and ability to find effective resolutions.
· Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
· Customer liaison experience, including witnessed testing.
· Ability to work fully on-site from the office, especially during test execution, as testing requires the use of various devices and there are restrictions on the movement of these devices.
· An understanding of payment card technology.
· Ideally having prior experience in V-Model projects.
· Past involvement in system test & integration and hardware development projects.
· Ideally having Test Automation experience with tools like Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow, FitNesse, JMeter, UL Brand Test Tool, etc.
