DFP is looking for an experienced Project/Program Manager to apply their expertise in planning, budget, technology and end-to-end delivery management to deliver a pilot program for a technology.

The pilot for the support service will provide trauma-informed technology support and safety information. The service will provide practical advice, guidance and support to victim-survivors of technology-facilitated abuse. The project has now reached a critical stage with approval to proceed in the development and implementation of a pilot service.

Job Responsibilities: -
  • You will take overall accountability for the delivery of the pilot of the support service, overseeing multiple interdependent workstreams, working in close collaboration with business area leads and subject matter experts while playing a hands-on role in individually leading the technical delivery stream.
  • You will take the lead in working collaboratively to drive the initiative, coordinating a wide array of subject matter experts spanning policy, content, legal, communications, hotline/operational and technical teams to ensure effective delivery.
  • Require a strong technical background to lead on the technical stream of this initiative. This includes solution scoping, options analysis, architecture/design, and overseeing technical implementation.
  • The role will work in close consultation with the CIO/CTO and relevant vendors for the establishment of a national support service encompassing.
  • The delivery of a web portal, case and record management implementation as well as integration with downstream systems.
  • Responsible for implementing mechanisms to oversee, govern and manage associated business streams through convening steering committees and working groups.
  • This also includes establishing any necessary governance processes and frameworks.
  • Reporting into the Head of Program Delivery, responsibilities will include leading technical streams of work as well as oversighting, governing, and managing business streams of work.
  • You will need to develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with stream leads, project resources and key stakeholders to ensure delivery is achieved and a common understanding of priorities and objectives is maintained.
 
Other responsibilities will include:
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders and ensuring communications are clear and effective.
  • Managing timelines, budget and any associated vendor engagements and governance arrangements required to deliver.
  • Identifying the optimal technical solutions and/or resources needed to deliver a hotline capability as swiftly as possible in collaboration with the CTO.
  • Negotiating resource availability, identifying risk and ensuring smooth operations along the way, including shared services arrangements where relevant.
  • Providing clear and regular status updates (written and verbal) for important stakeholders, Commissioner, executive, and Minister’s office.
Selection criteria
  • Qualifications and/or substantial experience in a relevant area (e.g., Project Management).
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large-scale, high-profile initiatives of a similar nature that include coordinating across multiple different work streams both within and outside of IT.
  • Strong technical background, with experience delivering programs of work including substantial technical components e.g., shared services, architecture, data, migration, security (including Azure and Dynamics) and producing technical advice and resources.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with security, privacy and information management principles
  • Experience with work management software and an aptitude for learning new applications
