Job description

Robina based Federal Government opportunities are available for experience Procurement Officers.

These positions are accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex research, analysis, and advice work including legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents. Roles are available across a range of Procurement streams and business areas eg: ICT, Recruitment, Fianance.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Providing procurement advice to NDIA business areas as a procurement business partner, establishing appropriate procurement methodologies, preparing a range of procurement documentation, reporting, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts.
  • Providing high-level administrative and procurement support, and managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, NDIA Procurement Policy and procedures, and ensuring value for money based outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements and contributing to the continuous development of procurement processes.
  • Providing internal and external stakeholders with quality and timely advice.
  • Monitoring and progressing work area activities and achieving work area objectives
About you 
  • Federal, State or Local Government procurement experience.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems.
  • Understanding of procurement or recruitment processes.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding or lived experience of disability.
