Our client is seeking a Digital Platform Regulators (DP-REG) Secretariat Lead Policy Officer to join their team. The DP-REG Steering Committee is an information-sharing and collaboration initiative between Australian independent regulators with a shared goal of ensuring Australia’s digital economy is a safe, trusted, fair, innovative and competitive space.
The ideal candidate is an outstanding performer, an agile and proactive professional who can manage the extra layer of complexity that comes with providing secretariat advice and support functions to cross-agency committees which include multiple Chief Executives.
Experienced providing outstanding secretariat support to senior committees and executives, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to navigate the challenges of negotiating across multiple agencies to proactively provide solutions with tact and creativity.
Additionally, you will be a collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder engagement skills; the ability to prioritise and manage multiple issues simultaneously; and a high level of personal integrity and confidentiality. Strong analytical and written skills, including the ability to write high-quality minutes, prepare briefs, agenda papers and presentations is a must.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide end-to-end administrative and secretariat support to the DP-Reg including scheduling and sequencing meetings in collaboration with DP-Reg members, collating and circulating agendas and papers and following up to ensure timely resolution of action items
- Quality assurance of meeting papers, out-of-session items and decision documents to ensure alignment and consistency with legislative requirements and other relevant policies and procedures
- Document, process and report on DP-Reg decisions and out-of-session items
- Contribute to the ongoing review and development of meeting principles and processes
You will have:
- Prior experience (as a contractor or APS) working in government (state or federal) agency in a similar role
