Job description

Our State Government client is Seeking an Estimator to join their Cairns Team. This role will see you produce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs.
 

As an Estimator, some of the key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Prepare Indicative cost estimates.
  • Prepare specification and documents ready for tender.
  • Review tender pricing to confirm Value for Money.
  • Reviewing documentation and quotes prior to submission to client to ensure the proposed scope of works matches the client brief.
  • Data management using Excel spreadsheets.

To be successful for this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience as an Estimator
  • Construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable}
  • Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card
  • Ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities.
  • High level attention to detail
  • Open communication actively and attentively listens to others with written and verbal communication that is clear and concise.
