Job description

Our State Government client is seeking AO6 Senior Program Officers to assists with delivery of innovative programs supporting energy efficiency, solar and battery uptake across Queensland businesses and households. As a key member of the team, you will develop and implement programs and initiatives through engaging with stakeholders and delivery partners, building customer relationships, and administering partnership and delivery agreements and deeds.

As a Senior Programs Officer, some of the key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Conduct high-level research, interpretation, analysis, and review of regulatory and policy issues pertaining to program development/delivery activities.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical reports and all related written communications.
  • Ongoing development of program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Identify program risks and issues and develop and implement mitigation measures to effectively manage these.
  • Provide high level support in relation to the procurement of goods and services, including the engagement and ongoing contract management.

To be successful for this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience in delivering grants, rebates, and programs.
  • Project management experience will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Queensland Consumer energy resources and enabling technologies, markets, policy, and regulatory issues.
  • Ability to remain composed during high stakes situations.
  • Initiative to support the team in recognising gaps in information relating to the program.
  • Ability to drive new thinking by encouraging others to share and debate ideas and data-driven, creative solutions.
